Steps

The main thing you need handy is the link to your widget. If you already have that, you can skip ahead.

  1. Login to the Paloma Vendor App in your web browser of choice: https://app.palomaparties.com/
  2. Click Venues at the top.
  3. Click on the venue you’re working with right now.
  4. Click on the Links and Installation submenu on the left (or top if on mobile)
  5. Scroll to the Share your Widget Link section.
  6. Click on the link itself to copy it, and paste the URL somewhere you can retrieve it later.

Now that you have your URL you can copy it into any number of places to aid in distribution:

QR Codes

The links above live online. A QR code puts your booking flow in the physical world too: on table tents, menus, posters, or a flyer by the host stand. A guest scans it and your widget opens.

  1. Login to the Paloma Vendor App: https://app.palomaparties.com/
  2. Click Venues at the top.
  3. Click on the venue you’re working with.
  4. Click on the Links and Installation submenu on the left (or top if on mobile).
  5. Scroll to the QR Code section and click the arrow to expand it.
  6. Choose where the code should point (see below).
  7. Click Download PNG.

That download is the QR code image on its own, a 400x400 PNG. Hand it to whoever builds your print materials. We generate it in your browser and don’t store it, so come back and download it again whenever you need another copy.

Where the Code Points

You pick the destination before you download:

Option Where it goes When to use it
Your Website The address set under Venues > your venue > About. The link carries tracking tags, so your marketing team can see how many scans turn into visits. Your first pick, as long as that page has your widget integrated. Edit the address under About any time.
Standalone Widget Page Paloma’s dedicated widget page for this venue. When there’s any chance the website address will change, or your widget isn’t installed on your own site. It keeps working no matter what happens to your site.
Custom URL Any address you type in. You have a campaign landing page in mind. Add utm_source=qrcode to the end so you can still tell scans apart from your other traffic.

A printed QR code can’t be edited once it’s out in the world, so check two things before you send it to print:

  • It opens the right page. “Your Website” points to the address under Venues > your venue > About, so make sure your widget is integrated on that page. If it isn’t, pick Standalone Widget Page, or update the About address to a page that has the widget. Scan the code to confirm it lands on your booking flow.
  • The address won’t move. If your marketing team might change or retire that page later, the code breaks with it. When in doubt, use the standalone page. It’s the safer bet.

One quirk worth knowing once the code is out there: a scan doesn’t tell us which page the guest came from. So if you’re watching the Where your widget is live card on the same screen, QR traffic won’t turn it green. That’s expected, and it doesn’t mean the code is broken.
